The WVCC is running an extended trip to the Blue Mountains and Nowra in NSW over the last two weeks of April. We will be in the Blue Mountains durig the first week (13-19 April) and Nowra in the second week (20-25 April).
The rock is sandstone and the climbs are a mix of multi-pitch trad and single pitch sport routes in the Blue Mountains and single pitch sport routes at Nowra. Bring a full rack (slings, nuts, 1-2 sets of cams) and a 60m rope, as well as harness, helmet and shoes.
This is not a beginner trip. The multi-pitch climbs in the Blue Mountains require experience and the sport routes at Nowra are most intermediate and harder grades - mostly harder.
Options for group climbing exist, but you will get more out of this trip if you can line up a partner to climb with.
We plan to camp at Blackheath Glen Tourist Park (https://www.blackheathtouristpark.com.au/) in the Blue Mountains, and at North Nowra Riverfront Caravan Park at Nowra (https://skipark.com.au/). Nothing has been booked and you will need to arrange and pay for this yourself if you plan to come on this trip.
All intending participants must contact Sam North so we can coordinate transport and booking of campsites for this trip - as well as to discuss plans, whether you need a climbing partner, and to answer any questions you may have (0417 138 163; or email samuel.hs.north@gmail.com)
You will need to bring all the necessaries for outdoor living for the time you are away.
